As some of you may have read in the latest edition of Doncaster Camra's "Donny Drinker". Thorne Brewery Beers will soon be available in the House of Commons!
Following The Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change and MP for Doncaster North, Ed Miliband's visit to the King Edward Road Brewery on July 3rd 2009, an order for both the Pale Ale and Best Bitter has been placed. The consignment will be dispatched to Westminster on 7th October.
Chairman's Stout LaunchHead Brewer Mike Richards has almost completed pre-production work on the next offering from Thorne Brewery, "Chairman's Stout" ABV 4.4% which will be available initially as a "guest" beer.
STATEMENT BY THE BOARD
Mark Burton the founder and former Chief Executive of Thorne Brewery CIC has left the Company. The Board wishes to place on record our sincere gratitude for all the hard work and tenacity Mark displayed in setting up the Company in such an adverse economic climate.
The last week in August saw Thorne Brewery achieve record sales figures despite the fact that the "trade" is traditionally quiet during this peak holiday period.
Remarkably, sales of the Best Bitter and Pale Ale remain fairly even, although the exceptional quality of the Pale Ale seems to be making it slightly more popular!
Plans are still being finalised to introduce a Stout, probably to be known as "Chairman's" as we approach the Autumn and Winter months. This may become a permanent addition to our two popular "flagship" beers, Best Bitter and Pale Ale which have quickly become established.
Mike Richards, our Brewer is also working on a variety of "Seasonal" brews for you to watch out for!

Thorne Brewery is proud to announce that we have now supplied our beers to more than 70 outlets!
