My wife and I went to Bridlington in the early 1990's, (before the kids came along)and, being something of a real ale "aficionado", decided to try a pint (or six!)of Thorne Best Bitter, at a large pub on the way into Brid. To this day, I have never had a more enjoyable pint! ;)

Didn't know anything about this until visited Thorne on October 5th and called at John Bull for an excellent pint. Being born in Thorne and sampling Thorne brewed beer as soon I was 18 !, it's great news. Good luck. Will be joining as friend today.

Had my first Thorne bitter on that one day of summer we enjoyed last week,Rode to the John Bull [a pub that is well worth a visit] and sat outside in the peace and quiet.Really savoured the beer and look forward to trying many more.

All the best to the new thorne brewery,lets hope all of the pubs of thorne throw out the rubbish electric john smiths cold,tetleys smooth etc and start selling real ale.cheers!
