Thorne Brewery held its first "Meet the Brewer" night at the "Windmill" in Thorne on Monday 14th Dec 2009. As well as many Windmill regulars we were pleased that some members of Doncaster CAMRA were also able to attend and meet Mike Richards, our Head Brewer, and his wife Jules.
Our thanks go to Elliott and the Windmill staff for providing the catering for the successful event and Mike & Jules for giving customers the chance to taste one of our guest beers (Darley's Ghost). We hope to hold more "Meet the Brewer" nights at outlets in the local area soon.

Thorne Brewery are pleased to announce that our next "guest" beer, "Coal Black Porter" is available to order now.
Head Brewer, Mike Richards, describes it as being "... a rich complex porter. A coffee aroma is followed by flavours of liquorice and burnt toffee with a strong hop finish." It has an ABV of 4.3%. |
