Thorne Brewery has received many messages of support from people who enjoy Real Ale and are pleased (and proud!) to see Brewing brought back to Thorne.
As a tribute to Darley's Brewery, which finally closed in 1986, we are pleased to announce the launch of our next guest beer which is to be called "Darley's Ghost". |

| Head Brewer, Mike Richards, describes the new beer as "a lightly spiced red winter ale", with an ABV of 4.5%. It should be available to order in a couple of weeks |
As a prelude to our ambition to open a Visitor Centre in Thorne, we are setting up a display of "Breweriana" at the King Edward Road Brewery. This will include many items relating to Darley's and should prove very interesting for visitors to the Brewery. Bob Dennis has agreed to let us have his collection of Darley's memorabilia for the display and if any local people have any souvenirs on their mantlepiece we would be grateful to include them!
Bob Dennis has an excellent website relating to Darley's Brewery - seen here... |
